Chris and Katie’s Cardiff Bay Wedding
We arrived at St David’s Hotel and Spa on a gloriously sunny September day. Katie was staying in the bridal suite, overlooking the bay jewelled with sunlight twinkling on the water. There’s a calming peacefulness to the bay on days like this and it gave everyone a fitting sense of happiness, optimism and excitement for the special day to come.
A beautiful lace dress was hung against the window, alongside her sparkling strappy shoes. Katie’s look was timeless and elegant, with lace, soft curls in her hair and a long cathedral veil. We chose warm, smoky colours and strong lashes to bring the focus to Katie’s bright blue eyes. The look was completed with a soft pink lipstick.
As we all buzzed around getting the bride ready, Katie and her family sipped champagne in anticipation for the day ahead.
Personal touches through the day made it all the more special. Katie and Chris’ son assumed the role of ring bearer and at the grand age of 18 months presided over mum and dad’s big day. And the wedding reception tables were themed with the couple’s favourite places in the world and dressed with maps and luggage.
Katie and Chris danced the night away with their nearest and dearest loved ones, finishing the night under the stars on their own personal balcony. We should guess dreaming of their next big trip and all the happy times to come as they move forward in life together.
A wedding to die for we think you would agree…
