Welcome to our first Friday Findings – a regular round-up of the news and stories that’ve captured our interest this week.
Live, work and play better
‘With all these devices pinging us and vying for our attention, how do we know what is important?’ – PSFK Labs have just launched their latest report which is themed around the connected customer and how we can have a better relationship with our (sometimes invasive) tech-driven devices. You can view a summary of the report over at PSFK, where they provide a few inspirational ideas of how technology can better compliment our daily life.
Anyone fancy a #pizza?
Thinking of ordering a pizza tonight? For Domino’s stateside customers that task is about to be made even more convenient. Next week Domino’s will roll out their “tweet-to-order” system where you’ll be able to simply tweet your pizza order. Regulars will even be able to order their pizza by just tweeting a pizza emoji. It’s not the first time Twitter has explored how brands can sell directly from tweets so it’ll be interesting to see how well Domino’s social e-commerce performs.
To Dubai and beyond!
Ever since the invention of Science Fiction, enthusiasts have predicted that backpack-rockets would one-day become a reality. Enter Swiss pilot Yves ‘Jetman’ Rossy and his new protégé Vince Reffet. Rossy has taken his custom-built jetpacks to Dubai where both he and Reffet took to the skies to a fly a daring tandem over the city. View their dramatic flight in glorious 4k ultra HD so don’t forget to go fullscreen for that maximum jet-fuelled effect. Certainly looks more exciting than the daily commute to work.
